St. Patrick's Day

 St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated on March 17 every year, unlike some holidays, St. Patrick's Day originated in Ireland. It is celebrated because there are no snakes in Ireland. That is what Irish people thank St. Patrick for.

The myth of St. Patrick is a famous myth all around the world. Many are thrilled to hear the story every St. Patrick’s Day. The story is that St. Patrick miraculously banished all of the snakes from Ireland, and gave clovers the symbol of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated mostly by Christian people to celebrate God and what he’s done. Many traditions include wearing green, making food such as corned beef, parades, and musical gatherings called “célí”. These traditions are all only done on St. Patrick’s Day.

The four leaf clover is considered good luck because it means that a person has more than the Holy Trinity and more luck from God. Then it gives people more hope in themselves. Many have found 4 leaf clovers, but not many. So keep looking and you may find one.
